Is the day of road trip from Penang to Ipoh back to Penang on the same day with darlings...
I think already months/years we plan to have a road trip together down to Ipoh and also some other places but never a time we could make it.. as everyone is busy with their college or university stuff.. so ended up we just say only .. after so long of keep saying when we will be going on a road trip and all.. this time we finally make it happen..
since Friday I have morning class from 9-11 (Enterprising Management) they have to wait my class end only can start the journey .. Sorry girls.. keep you all waiting and Thank you for picking me up from college Vic xDD.. before start our road trip .. I suggest each of us put RM 50 into a purse and gonna use the money for toll, entrance fee, foods and etc.. but for own shopping use money from own purse.. so here we go ~

The Itinerary
1) First destination - Hong Kee Mah Chee
2) Second destination - Aun Kheng Lim Salted Chicken
3) Third destination - Sin Eng Heong Biscuit Shop
4) Fourth destination - Kellie's Castle
5) Fifth destination - Euro House
Ipoh Mali Ipoh Ipoh Mali ^^
Our first destination
After seeing few friends in Facebook keep sharing about this creamy peanut soup dessert or in Cantonese call "Far Sang Woo" .. without hesitate we include it into our itinerary .. with the help of Waze .. we drive through all the "lorong kia".. and keep suspect whether Waze got problem or we turn wrong place.. because keep bringing us to the small road..and finally we saw this stall when we saw quite a number of cars stop by the roadside or straight directly in front of the stall to drink this.. this stall do not locate in any coffee shop or close to any landmark.. but just a set up stall outside of their own house.. and few benches for the customers to seat while enjoying their creamy peanut soup with the hand made muar chee..
keep laughing because saw a guy with the afro hairstyles standing in front of the stall..
and thought is "siao lang" [insane ppl] hahahaa.. okayy.. maybe we are the siao one.. hahaa..
Here's the Far Sang Woo RM3.00 per bowl
Did not really meet my expectation.. Because I tried before nicer one..
But I forget when is the last time I drank this.. haha.. I guess years ago in KL?
If they could heat the soup hotter then it would be better..
but this one bowl can share two people as it is quite heaty to drink all of this by your own..
Muar Chee Rm3 per plate
I prefer the one at my house nearby.. the Genting Cafe, Island Glades
this one the portion a bit too small .. but the nuts topping is nice.. the owner tell us to dip the muar chee inside the soup.. so we did.. yes the combination is nice.. but really heaty after eating.. so have to drink quite a lot of water to clear our throat..
*Too busy chit chatting and help Vic to see the road and direction so did not capture the second destination picture as only drop Lis go buy the salted chicken for the parents xP*
Our third destination
a biscuit shop located at town area nearby all the famous chicken rice/ shops selling local delicacies
this shop is famous with their kaya puff and of course they do sell other types of home made pastries and packaging biscuits like "Kai Zai Paeng", "Lou Por Paeng", "Shat Keh Ma" and etc ..
Just see the picture below.. everyone is lining up for the freshly baked kaya puff or they call it "Kaya Kok" .. even saw some of the customers who buy like 20++ boxes with 10 kaya puffs in one box.. but for me I only get 10 kaya puff (RM0.90 each) and 2 pack of kai zai paeng (RM4.50 each pack) and 2 pack of shat keh ma (RM4.50 each pack) for my family and loves.. should have buy more kaya puffs.. because in two days time the puff already finish..
Our fourth destination
visit one of the historical building in Ipoh
journey from town to the castle actually took us about half an hour or more to reach ..
the Entrance fee for one person is RM5 (by showing IC) and if you bring camera they have to charge extra RM5 per person.. so to save our money .. we act like we did not bring any camera but actually we already stuff the camera and tripod into our backpacks.. hahaa.. sneaky us.. we thought we only will spend the most one hour here since so hazy and hot but NOT! hahaa.. we literally explore the whole castle and take pictures at each and every corner of the castle that we feel nice for the outcome of the photos.. xDD even few groups of people keep look at us.. especially the chinese couple... stand there for minutes and look at four of us capture photos ..haha..
Our Fifth Destination
it is also our last destination before heading back to the island
after hours of capturing photos in Kellie's castle .. climb up and down the building.. setting up the camera and run to our positions under the hot sun and hazy weather.. our energy quite drained out.. but all of us are really satisfied with the outcome of the photos.. hahaa.. so to boost our energy before start our journey back.. we drive back to the town to Euro House for dinner..
when we reach there is already quite full house already.. maybe Friday night? happy hour? or maybe because of the food and affordable pricing? Or because of all? hahaa..
The food that we ordered
Carbonara RM21.00
super duper big portion! this whole bowl can easily feed up to two/three small eater full full..
the amount of cheese, the ham and mushrooms and egg yolk in this dish.. #reallyOMG
Jan settle most of this as she having sore throat cannot eat more of other food..hahaa
Classic Fish & Chips RM19.00
very big piece of fish and generous tartar sauce given with french fries and greens as the sides
Oh Noms!
Lamb Cut RM17.00
three of them also compliment this dish very yummylicious.. too bad I cannot take lamb..
If not I would want to try and know how it taste like..
*If you do know whats the reason why people cannot take lamb please do let me know..because I am prohibited from eating lamb since young .. I'm really curious what kind of allergy or sickness I have as my parents don't want to tell me till now and warn my sisters not to let me know about it too .. got so serious or not? hahaa.."
Smoked Duck Pizza RM24
Very big portion of pizza.. with generous amount of cheese, mushrooms and smoked duck ..
mhmm mhmm...*burp* after the carbonara and fish and chips and one slice of this pizza.. each of us slow down our eating process.. hahaa.. and ended up have to take away this pizza..
Ps; before our food is serve ..
they even serve us four soft bun with salted butter as appetizer for free..
[I guess we four are just too hungry till no time to capture that free soft bun]
Total Bill : RM 81 with 6% GST charges.. Pps; No service charge!!!
Definitely a place to visit again in the near future..
Reach Penang about 9+ 10pm safe and sound..
Really an enjoying road trip with them.. Hope more to come..
but wait me save bit money first okay.. xDD
End this entry with one of my favourite photo captured that day..
*Even though each of us are taking different paths in our life now and
we do not meet each other as often as how we used to be or how we want it to be ;
hopefully our friendship will remain the same*
