Backdated Vacation Post -: Gili Trawangan, Lombok- Indonesia :- Day 2

Hello me back with the second day of the Gili Trawangan trip ~

-21st June 2016-

Early morning we wake to catch the sunrise. before we reach Gili, we Go through a lot of website, blogs and they say Sunrise have to be in the "to-do-list" when you are in Gili .. it is even better if you are hiking at Mount Rinjani or called it Gunung Rinjani to catch the sunrise.. but we didn't plan to go hiking in this trip, therefore, we just walk out from our hotel with the map given by the receptionist yesterday and go to the seaside to catch the sunrise.. so nice~ listening to the ocean waves hitting the beach and enjoy the sea breeze.. holiday feels ~ ahh..

After enjoying the sunrise for an hour + we walk back to our hotel to get a quick nap and to start our day. but eventually, I fall into deep sleep and missed out the complimentary breakfast provided by our hotel mini-cafeteria. *Here comes the cute thing about this breakfast thingy in the hotel. When we book this hotel through Booking.com our hotel deal that we book is no breakfast is included however the receptionist cum chef cum etc in the hotel tell us on the first day of our arrival that there is no free breakfast will be served but you can come over to enjoy the complimentary meal in the morning and tea time, this completely make me stunt few minutes.. hahaa..like totally HUH? what does that mean no free breakfast but we can enjoy the complimentary breakfast.. hahaa..maybe my English is lacking somewhere xDD" Lichen and Anthony went to enjoy the breakfast while bf and I are in our dreamland. after their breakfast, we get ready and off we go to explore the Gili Trawangan!

Luckily today the hotel have bicycles for us to use it for free no need to spend extra money to go rent it elsewhere ~ win!

Today our target is to cycle around to explore the Island!

the first day itself we only walk to the night market and chill out area, today we will explore another side of the island.. the weather is so good that day.  Blue sky + Blue ocean .. ahh~

Each part of the location we stop by the sand texture is different. haha.. some is so soft and you can't cycle on it and one is full of coral when we cycle up to Coral Beach.. the beach is all coral seriously.. and is so pain to step on it without any slipper on.. ouch..

Since BF and I overslept and missed out the complimentary breakfast.. we stop by at one of the restaurants at Coral Beach to have our brunch ~ Who choose this one also because we can sit under a hut and enjoy our meal with the nice sea view ~ Triple the win!

This restaurant also has rooms for you to rent.. and if not mistaken they also have a mini pool for you to dip inside to chill. if you do not want to eat under a hut you can choose their indoor area for you to have your meal. 

I opt for their seafood fried rice and a glass of pineapple juice to complete my mealWhereas BF go for their chicken fried rice Taste wise normal ~ Nothing much to shout out
Seafood fried rice: RP 45,000
Chicken fried rice: RP 40,000
Pineapple Juice: RP 20,000
Total Damage: RP105,000 roughly about RM32+
(1MYR = RP3250)

The indoor area and behind is the rooms and pool already~

and Yes the hotel and pool at Gili Trawangan all are quite exposed one.. not like those in Penang that we have to go in through the main door or anything only can access to the pool area... this one so open and you can directly see the pool already .. haha.. done settling the bill and off we continue to ride our bicycle and explore the island

but no one is in the pool.. haha..  

This side of the island have not many activities going on but is suitable for those who prefer a more quiet place to relax or honeymoon.. luckily we didn't stay this side as we almost did earlier.. because if we stay here. we have to cycle a long way back to the town.. you can refer the top map again. 

hahaa.. the sand is too soft to cycle on.. have to push our bicycle.. 

and continue cycling.. hahaa.. obviously you can see from the pictures hardly can see people around.. I guess everyone is staying in their villa to enjoy

maybe because of the soothing color painted on each of the villas and is surrounding by a lot of trees

Perhaps one day I will come back to Gili Trawangan and stay here? Hehe

Look so pure and white. Forget the name of the hotel already and many of the hotels is still renovating ~ I guess in few years time more villas, hotels for tourist to choose

So pity the horse.. looks so tired and the saliva/white bubble keep dripping on the floor. 

ask the horse cart people is it he thirsty? need feed water? If I didn't remember wrongly.. the person like say cannot feed them water now.. if not they will pee/poo while on duty.. they will feed them later on ~ so sad... luckily our trip there we never one time sit on horse cart.. 

Stop by one of the beaches and totally amaze with the clear water ~ 

Is so nice to see the sea water is so clear and pure and we can exactly see what's in the water.

the weather is hot but the water is so cold.. don't care and decided to dip in it. I don't dare to swim in the sea.. because I'm not really good in swimming .. so dip in it is good enough for me hehe.. 

Dip in the sea for some minutes and continue we cycle and reached Ombak Villa Hotel where we can enjoy the sunset view with the popular swing .. this one is also included into the "To-Do-List" when you are in Gili Trawangan. we take the chance to capture every angle we find nice here ~ hahaa.. so enjoy the pictures ~

when we are there.. the water level not so high therefore we manage to walk out a little from the beach.. actually Lichen and I decided to try to walk further behind.. but we don't want to risk.. hahaa.

and this swing, everyone there is lining up for a shot.. so better be quick and know what you want to pose so that you won't feel awkward when the Q is staring at you .. hahaaa.. unless you don't give a damn then you can take your own sweet time xDD

didn't think much when taking the below photo.. until one uncle walking there say you should be careful.. don't step on sea urchin .. hahaha.. luckily not so unlucky that time.

So B e a u t i f u l and R e l a x i n g 

Slowly the sky turning dark and we start our cycle journey back to the town to hunt for dinner. 

Is so dark at the other side of the island!! because not much happening area and only got villas light.. after passing the villas everything is like very very dark.. but you can see lots and lots of star in the sky while you cycling.. too bad phone camera cannot capture the thousand/millions stars in the sky.. Besides, luckily got a lot of people cycle together and we even use phone torchlight to light our way due to our bicycles do not have the light. haha.. very fast we cycle and reach to a brighter place. we pass Ko-ko-mo and survey the menu.. decided to come during our last night in G.Trawangan..

While on the way back to the town.. we pass by this dessert shop

that sell gelato ice cream and pastry .. can't resist so each and everyone of us get one scoop for own.. 

Not really remember what is the exact flavor we get but If I'm not wrong one is green tea flavor, one is salted caramel flavor, one is mango sherbet? and another one totally forgets already.. could be strawberry something? hahaa RP 90,000 for four scoop ice cream roughly about RM27+

I guess during noon time the business will be damn good.. enjoying the gelato under the hot sun~

We also choose one Chocolate Caramel Tart RP15,000 roughly about RM4+

one Coconut Caramel Tart RP 20,000 roughly about RM6+

not bad as well.. the caramel one forget to capture a photo of it

and ya .. you must be thinking. no dinner? hahaa..

the actual fact is we eat dessert before dinner because we saw the dessert shop first before we decided what to eat for dinner.. hahaa.. cycle and cycle finally we reach the busy street .. we decided to try out

we assume since so many people dining there. many people dine-in sure the food must be not bad right? haha.. 

At first was full with the dessert just now we had like ten minutes ago before reaching this Black Penny Restaurant and don't feel like ordering but eventually we order like three mains and two sides..

hahaha...

RP 432,300 plus government tax 11%  RP 43,230 = RP 475,530  roughly about RM 146 +

**Dont be suprise that their government tax is way higher compared to Malaysia.. hahaa

Overall the food is okay.. nothing much to shout out as well. hahaa.. the taliwang we still prefer the one we ate on the first day itself at Flush Bar which I blog at the first entry post of the trip

After dinner is almost ten plus.. we still have to cycle quite a long way to reach our hotel..  roughly about half an hour or more.. after the whole day of ride on the bicycle through the hard sand, soft sand, muddy road, coral beach.. our butts and legs are really sore... we ended up at a massage shop .. want to choose a massage shop also take us sometime to choose.. hahaa.. because we don't know which one is good, whether want indoor or outdoor.. etc etc and of course the price we paying as well.. I couldn't find the photo which I snap the massage shop but I remember the interior is quite green and got lots of buddha decoration.. *Okay, I went to Google it and I actually found it hahaa*

due to low battery and is not so convenient for me to capture the environment there

so no picture of the spa environment hehe.. but you can click on the name of the spa on top and you can see their interior in the website.. the reason of choosing this massage shop also because is brighter compared to rest of the massage shop along the road.. 

Li Chen opt for leg massage and the rest of us choose body massage (forget is full body or back and shoulder).. hahaa.. still remember Li Chen tell us that the lady who massage her leg not fully concentrate on massaging her some more her face like people owe her money . hahaa.. for my part they see LG and I are couple they put us in the same room and Anthony go another room.. I remember the room they gave us is quite big.. got two massage bed there .. one spa corner and one private toilet and the room is decorated with buddha photos and the aromatic essential oil smell.. the kakak ask me to remove my top swimming suit and lie on the massage bed.. I'm like huh ? need to remove aa? she say nevermind will give you cloth to cover hahaa.. so funny.. first time go to this kind of massage.. but overall can say is nice because body is so sore that time.. hehee.. 

Total Damage: RP 150,000 for 60 mins back and shoulder massage roughly about RM46+ each person..[or RP 100,000 for 30 mins back and shoulder massage roughly about RM30+, forget we choose which one already.. ask BF he say as he remember is half an hour.. but as I remember is one hour and LiChen opt for half an hour for reflexology hahaa. so I just put the both price la.. ]

and RP 80,000 for 30 mins reflexology roughly about RM24 + 

after done massaging off we cycle again back to hotel .. clean up and off to bed ~
