-:: Backdated: 2 days 1 night trip to Ipoh ::-

Opss.. almost forgotten this entry!
A short getaway to Ipoh with love~
Happy Reading~

Planned a short trip with love to Ipoh to celebrate our 3rd year anniversary~
We managed to get this hotel from Booking.com or Agoda roughly about RM1xx..*can't remember clearly which website bf use to book and the price as well.. haha checked Agoda is RM110+*

Once you enter the Ipoh toll, the hotel is located ten minutes away from the highway toll, It is just behind a Tesco haha.. Booked this hotel because see the review and ratings quite good. the location is not bad as well. near to Tesco hypermarket, opposite this hotel has a mamak stall and you can easily find bank/ atm next to the hotel

The lobby of the hotel
Clean and Neat
The hotel is decorated with retro and antic furniture
So nice ~
The interior of the room
-unpack and rest awhile and off we go out to explore Ipoh city

1st Stop :
::: Concubine Lane - 二奶巷 :::
keep saw people post on Facebook so we decided to go explore ourselves hahaa..
It is something like Penang Armenian Street where they have painting on the walls, mini museum, stalls that sell crafts and foods, local delicacies and souvenirs
When we are there, the rain start to pour, luckily is just drizzling if not plan ruined
Bf spotted this jelly in one of the stalls. bought it because it looks so cute but if I'm not mistaken this jelly ball cost RM5 for one stick .. looks cute but not the taste.. a bit tasteless though.
most of them are selling souvenirs and each of the shops is decorated nicely for you to capture photo.. hehe like this one below got a mini windmill and sheep welcoming the guests who walk pass
Due to rain, many stalls started to pack. I guess normally will have more stalls
One of the shops if you purchase stuff they selling for more than RM10 then you get to enter their top floor photo area for free ~ if not the entrance fee is RM 3 per person :)
After the walking and photos moments ~
You can drop by to this shop to enjoy a bowl of tau fu fa or fresh soya milk

Hehe.. we ordered one Teow Chew Tau Fu Fa = RM 2.00
and
one Tau Fu Fa with ginger soup = RM1.80
Both are good, the taste and the texture of the tau fu fa! *feel like having this right now*
After eating the tau fu fa, continue our walking along the concubine lane and we walk pass this Thai shop .. spotted the ang mohs is having the boat noodle and is been a long time since I have one.
so we go in and ordered two bowls of boat noodle.. hahaa.. saja wanna try the taste.. the soup is nice! yum yum yum.. they also serve other food as well, fried rice, mango pulut rice and etc.. but I have planned to bring him to another place for dinner.. so we didn't order food, other than that two bowl of mini boat noodle .. hehe
RM 1.90 per bowl
I managed to get a handmade purse and accessories for myself and he get himself a eye mask.. around 4/ 5 plus all the shops started to close so we decided to go find the painting arts but then I couldn't find it through waze or online and the rain start to pour heavier .
so we straight headed to the dinner place..

Yes.. again Euro House.. hahaha.. because I don't like Ipoh chicken rice or their famous chicken shredded hor fun.. so Euro House it is ! been here for quite a number of times and previously road trip with besties as well (you can read it here)
both of us are not very hungry
we order a snack and a main to share.
while waiting for our food, let's capture a photo ~
Okay, this sausage platter is not snack at all.. is more to a main already. hahaha
**due to low lighting the food doesn't look appealing but the taste is good okay, the price is affordable as well**
The sausage platter :
Two Italian herbs sausages and one chicken sausage served with wasabi mayo and few greens as side
Salmon served with asparagus, mashed potato, and sauteed vegetables
this is huge!

After the early dinner, the rain continue to pour and we can't go Kinta Riverfront to walk so
We went to their mall --> Ipoh Parade Mall
Lepak for few hours there and before heading back to hotel straight, we drop by the dessert street for supper

from the start till the end of the street, all the stalls are selling almost the same things hahaa.
depends you want to eat at which stall.. we choose this one which has the brightest and nice sign board and having the most crowd as well. Beside this shop got another shop selling Hong Kong style kind of shaved ice - they call it Lolo but the shop quite dark and we didn't see many people ordering it so we just stick with our choice
The fruit ice we ordered
Colourful bowl! Yums to the tums
Heheh.. spotted other table order this prawn cracker serve with prawn paste
immediate I ordered one from the stall as well.. this one me likey.. we ofinish it within minutes and ordered another one.. yumss~
Besides, check Foursquare and people recommend to order the curry noodle and beef noodle
Indecisive want to other which one to try .. without thinking much. Bf say ordered both .. hahaha.. we didn't manage to finish the noodles though.

the curry noodle is nice.. the soup base is different compared to Penang curry mee.. besides, the curry noodle stall allows you to add extra ingredients like assorted fish balls, seafood and etc.. we opt for the normal one.. the portion is quite big even though we ordered small.. the portion is good for sharing if you are small eater
as for the beef noodle - According to Bf the beef soup taste is quite strong and the meat is tender
*see the picture also know. haha.. the meat not 100% cook*
if you like beef then you will love this beef noodle. hahaa.. but the two piece of white curly "meat" on top of the noodle.. we still can't figure is which part of the cow.. hahaha
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The very next day ~
Pack, check out and out for brunch and explore before heading back to Penang
we settle our brunch at here
it is a home style cafe.. luckily we reach earlier .. if not then we have to queue for seats.
this cafe has indoor and outdoor seating..
we managed to get the indoor seating.
We Ordered their roti bakar - spread with kaya and butter and Omega half boiled eggs
Other than that,  we ordered their signature noodle served with curry chicken
and
their signature noodle served with braised egg, tofu and chicken feet
-: Normal only ~ nothing much to shout out hahaa.. :-
After done eating, you can buy some of their 3-in-1 coffees or local biscuits inside the cafe for your loves one.. They also prepared some props for people to take photo
The outdoor photo area
after done eating you can go visit the tourist spot which is Qing Xin Ling Leisure & Cultural Village unfortunately when we are there, the place is closed for maintenance.. so sad.. a lot of cars also reach and u-turn back .. since we can't go in the leisure and cultural village, we drop by to a temple beside the qing xin ling and have a walk.. nothing much though so headed back to Ipoh town to get kaya puff before we head back to Penang :)
Short and sweet escape with boo~
Let's plan for the next escape xDD
Still got so many backdated entries,

Working Life - Goodbye M ;

 Photobucket

Today entry will be all about the above topic ~ ^^
Finally, is my turn to wave goodbye to this company after seeing so many colleagues leaving. I have been working at this company as a Recruitment Consultant since last year May 3, 2016. I would say not a short nor long duration - it is exactly 1 year and 24 days in this cray cray company. Haha.. Actually, this job is my first official job after completing my degree studies.I did apply for a few positions through job street but do not receive any news or call till I decided maybe I shall go for a part time job first. Eventually when I decided to find a part-time job, received a call from an event company to attend a face to face interview and not this recruitment company. Quickly I log in my Jobstreet to see which company I have applied haha.. saw the event employer reviewed my profiles for quite a number of times and the office is located at Greenlane area which is near to my house, therefore, decided to go for a try.

I accepted the interview invitation because based on the job scope stated I feel I can cope with it and the job scope can be similar to previous job experience as SPEA of Redbull Malaysia. If I did not remember wrongly this event company position title is something like event coordinator and the job scope is quite fun therefore decided to try it out. Prepare everything and go for the interview. My god, what I can conclude from that interview is that it is the worst interview experience ever! The way that lady talk is so arrogant and you feel like smacking her up, down, left, right. hahaa..throughout the interview she just sits there with her folded hand and leg, talk time keep roll her eyes and etc etc. the pattern damn kuat..  After I done introducing myself and telling her my work experiences, she just rolls her eyes and says "I do not think you suit for this position, with your background of studies and work experience is not capable of handling this but nevermind you can go home and think, see if you are suitable for this, if no then you can just drop an email to withdraw" She some more say "I need to hire a person with good English to help me do work since my English is not that good, all my things I will say it in Chinese then you will have to translate all into good English" the whole interview session she is speaking Chinese.. hahahaa... joker la this lady.. if you think my profile is not suitable why you some more invite me for interview.. immediately I go home and withdraw my application..

Then few more days later I receive call which is from this recruitment company to go for a face to face interview. The one who interviews me is a beautiful lady which is the team lead at that time and the manager as well. It is way way way better compared to that event company interviewer, the interview session goes on for about 1 hours + hahaa.. is more to a chit chat session which gets to know more about my background. Then the team lead tell me that they will come back to me if I am shortlisted for this position. So I went back home to wait for the news. On my birthday itself 25th April 2016, I receive the offer letter from the manager. The salary offered is lower compared to my expected salary. Did discuss with family whether should I accept this offer or continue searching? But that time around June I got a trip with friends to Gili Trawangan,Lombok (Read it here : - Day 1, Day 2 and Day 3-4)  no choice but need to earn kachings to go for vacation so accepted the offer since I feel the team lead and manager so nice, it will be fun if working with them. Then I think I went to KL for a short family trip.

That time la I receive a KL number keep calling me when I am taking my nap. Keep calling till I frustrated then only I pick up with my wake up and angry voice immediately I throw out this sentence- "HELLO, WHO IS THIS?" then a lady very formally telling me she is calling from the HQ from this recruitment company. bla bla and before end the call I did ask her who is this, she just ask me to address her as Jxxx .. LOL.. on the phone with me for quite long time ask this and that.. ask me whether want to come to KL work or not, tell me all the Chinese idiom which I am not familiar with..then she says will drop me an email la this and that. Back to Penang and check email only know that lady who spoke to me is the CEO of this company hahaha.. with the Datin title some more. Joined the company on 3rd May 2016, on that day itself another 3 more news girls joining as well, at that point of time I did feel a little weird but then in my mind thinking maybe this company is expanding or what. so just ignore my thoughts..  then bit by bit know the news from the existing team that they are not expanding but all these new hired are to replace the whole team here.. haha GG.. Entered to the wrong company.. that time feels so lost.. but lost also work for 1 year +.

What I can conclude is working here is you need to depend on your own most of the time and need to be alert with all your doings.. need to bare with the micro manage management style, some more you have no rights to defend yourself, deal with the HQ people can make you vomit blood because they do not communicate to each other- need to ask Penang team to become their messenger even though they are sitting next to each other in HQ, receive all the long and lengthy email that make you feel irritating and disgusted, and most recent incident and ridiculous one is asked to pay electricity bill.. LOL but of course we employee didn't pay for it, whenever I tell my friends about my management, all will have the same sayings why you can stand working there..of course, all this leads to high turnover rate.. and finally this time is my turn to leave after receiving a better offer.. hahaa... Anyway, this one year plus allows me to learn and expose a lot of things. I do love my job scope there and will miss it but definitely not the management style. To all the colleagues who are still working there.. all the best and don't stay there too long~ hahahaa
