Bumpy 2nd Quarter of 2019

2nd Quarter of 2019 has been quite a challenging one!

30th April 2019: Tendered resignation letter for my second official job ~

31st May 2019: Last working day in L, Goodbye L! 

 2 years working in the company and really allowed me to gain lots of valuable experience and along the way get the chance to work with people around the globe. Despite the start are a little havoc and kind of toxic but as time pass the toxic people get eliminated and get replaced with good vibes people. I will definitely miss my great team in Penang and the flexibility of the company give :P and my desk with sea view every day!

Of course, I got a job offer first before I tendered my resignation letter. 

I actually accepted the new job which is in SingaLand! 

Hahaa. at first, my thought was an online interview might not work out as I'm kind of sucks in selling my good key points to people so just saja interview and enjoy myself first before start hunting for others and go for more interviews. But the very next day or a few days after the interview session with the interviewer, I actually got offered :D  the job scope is definitely different from my second official job however I would like to explore it since I feel myself couldn't survive in HR line especially the part where you have to send away employees/colleagues.. No no no. I couldn't do that! therefore office operations job here I come to explore!

And here comes the bumpy part of the quarter 

My Move to SingaLand Make Me Almost Goes Cuckoo

Have a short break from the previous job, quick pack and travel down to SingaLand beginning of June. The journey started so rough till I myself keep thinking if this move is so wrong.

1) Suppose to start work on 10th June and last-minute receive news from the HR saying that the pass hasn't approved. After back and forth liaise with the HR, few days before 10th June they told me that the pass application is not successful. the HR said that if I want to start work on the 10th they can proceed with the work permit first and later change to S pass when they have a quota or another option is they will submit an appeal for EP which I need to wait maybe 2-3 weeks for updates but not guarantee will get the pass ... seriously?! With my education background and all that I don't think I fall to that work permit category and luckily I did not blindly just agreed with them even I am in need of salary. After discussing with family, I decided to ask them to resubmit the application for EP *in my mind was thinking if EP did not approve I will reject the offer* When I asked whats the reason for the rejection. they told me that I filled one of the columns wrongly. I can't accept the error though.. they should change the question. Instead of asking "Which country you graduate from/study at" to some question which has the same meaning as this--> "Which country the certificate is from". I can't wait till 2-3 weeks doing nothing in SG and decided to go back home first.  

Fly Back to Penang and enjoyed my time with my loved ones especially my boo~ One week before the end of July, follow up with HR whats is the pass application status and the HR said is approved and ask me to arrange the return to SG soonest possible.. however, I check the flight is quite pricey due to the school holiday and I would like to surprise my bestie, Vic, during her proposal at Langkawi. therefore discuss with the HR that I will return to SG only at the beginning of July.. *I Will blog the proposal in the next post*  

2) After all the happy moments spent in Malaysia in the month of July, I fly back to SG on 2nd July to complete all the medical check-ups before the target start date which is on the 8th of July. Again receives another surprise from HR saying that before receiving the medical report result from the clinic, I cannot start work and maybe the start date has to postpone again. WTF seriously.. so many roadblocks hahaha... and on the 6th.. the HR texted says okay on 8th you can report to work.. all the last minute updates.. really drive me crazy... that time I am still at my cousin place haven't go back to Vic place. I decided to go back on the 7th night to Vic place after attending my cousin's baby shower party, however, another incident happened to me again..

 3) The worst-case out of all the roadblocks I mentioned above.

I lost my P H O N E! 

 How can I be so unlucky man? 

It just decided to happened one day before my 1st day of work! How can I even lost my phone with all the important data inside and all the memorable Photos!? At that time I am so lost and can't even cry out. I don't know how to react to that scene and make my cousin sis so panic and worried. Go around the places we went and look out for the phone, however, we did not manage to find it .. Cousin sis brought me to the police station to lodge a report and then back to her place to reset my password for all those important items. Luckily my cousin sis has an extra phone which is not in use to borrow.. try to download back those apps which I'm using but it is not the same.. I want my phone back! even till now I still hope there are some kind souls out there who will pass the phone to lost and found counter or to the police station. But I tried several times to drop by the shops, to the mall customer service counter and even call the police station number but no one hand in the phone. Haizzz... my beloved phone~ I don't think I will be getting you back anymore. Need to get a new phone soon. and Because of that, I can't sleep properly for my first day of work. Ended up I wake up like a zombie, some more did not manage to catch the shuttle to my workplace due to The stupid shuttle did not display the company name *and I am also quite dumb did not ask the shuttle driver where to*. Ended up I have to spend the unnecessary money to book a grab in even though I am damn early on that day. 

As for new work nothing much to do during the start few weeks and now is getting busier and busier due to term started- can say about 2 weeks in July did not do many things at workplace just keep on looking out for room rental as well as my phone stuff.. how to locate it etc.. but now is like no hope d.. even visit apple shop several times to ask if they can help to find my phone if I did not set up "Find my iPhone" or sync anything hahaa.. but too bad no one can help me with this. Drive le bf crazy this one really. lost the phone he gave me..haizz.. this incident could be possible due to my carelessness or I am damn suey.. hahaha.. 

Finally, Now, I am settling in the new environment better. Got a quite nice room to settle in. Some more located nearby to bestie-Vic's place and just half an hour's travel time to the workplace by MRT. The surrounding is quite convenient too. Within walking distance can reach supermarket, ATMs, food court and other eateries shops. :)
